John BOWEN

John was born in 1757 in Glade Creek, Augusta, Virginia. John's father was Reece (Rees) BOWEN and his mother was Levisa(Louisa) Margaret SMITH. His paternal grandparents were John BOWEN and Lilly MCILHANEY. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Reece, Rees, Henry, Arthur, Margaret, Levisa(Louisa), Rebecca S., Nancy, Lily and Hannah. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 32 in 1789 in Philadelphia, , Pennsylvania.
