Elisha AVERY 
Elisha was born on May 9th, 1697 in Of Stonington, N.l., Ct and his baptism took place on May 9th, 1694 in New London, New London, Conn.. Elisha's father was John Or Jon AVERY and his mother was Abigail CHESEBROUGH. His paternal grandparents were James AVERY and Joanna GREENSLADE; his maternal grandparents were Samuel CHEESEBOROUGH and Abigail CHESEBROUGH. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named John, Benjamin, Joseph, Nathaniel, William, Josiah, Daniel, Thomas, Abigail, Mary, Elizabeth, Anna and Desire. He was the third youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 29 on July 14th, 1726 in Plain Cemetery, N. Stonington, New London, Connecticut.
