Tobias Heltzel of Paradise Township in the County of Yor k and State of Pennsylvania Yeoman, being sick and weak i n Body but of a sound and disposing Mind, Memory, and Under standing, blessed be Almighty God for the same. Do Make an d Ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and for m following (that is to say) First, I order and Will that a ll my just debts and funeral Charges, shall be paid and Sat isfyed. Item, I give and Bequeath unto my beloveth Wife An na Mary my Bed and Bedstead and bed furniture, so that it m ay be called a good Bed and one Iron pot and One Iron Pan , and a Pewter Baison, and a Pewter Plate and four pewter S poons, and one Cow the choice to her, which I give and Bequ eath unto her over and above her Contract or Articles of ma rriage which I made with her before our Intermarriage (whic h she I shall have as her own Estate). And further my wil l is that all my Lands and Plantations (that is to say my t wo Plantations) Situate in Paradise Township in the Count y of York aforesaid Adjoining each other the upper place ad joyning Spring Forge Land and Lands of Michael Strasbach an d the Lands heretofore sold and Conveyed to Casper Hock con taining about One Hundred Acres, or upward and the lower pl ace adjoyning the same, and Lands of John Herschy and Pete r Wolf Esqr and Lands of Jacob Miller Containing about on e hundred and fifty Acres (more or less) that shall all b e sold with all my whole Personal Estate by my Executor her ein afternamed by the best Advantage that they can have, an d that in Such a manner as my Executors shall think it best ; And my Will is that from the first money coming in from m y Estate the Sum of one hundred Pounds shall be put out o n Interests and my said Wife shall have the full Interest t hereof yearly as long as she be my Widow; And from the Rema inder of my Estate my Will is that my Daughter, Scharlot, n ow the Wife of Martin Schwartz and my Son Henry Heltzel, an d my Son Philip Heltzel each of them shall have the Sum o f Ten Pounds in Gold, or Silver Coin which shall than be th eir full Share out of all my Estate and no more. And than a ll the remainder of my Personal Estate (that is to say, th e money therefor coming in with the remainder of the firs t payments for my Lands and plantations that shall than b e equally Divided among and Between my other Children namel y Eve now the Wife of Jacob Weier and Elisabeth now the Wif e of John Boss, and Sophia now the Wife of William Heins, a nd Catherine now the Wife of Jacob Geiger and Margaret Helt zel, and my Sons John Heltzel and Tobias Heltzel to one o f them as much as to the other if the Three aforementione d Children have first received their share so as the aboves aid (namely each the sum of Ten Pounds as aforesaid) And th an the remainder of the money comming in from my Lands tha t shall also be equally Divided among my Children Namely Ev e and Elizabeth and Sophia and Catharine and Margaret and J ohn and Tobias Heltzel in manner following (that is to say ) that always the money that is comming in in one year shal l always be divided in three equal Shars. and to them pai d according to their Sussession of age, and so on till to t he Youngest so that they shall be made equal in Share as af oresaid. And after my Wifs decease or Second marriage whic h shall happen to be first they One hundred pounds that wa s on Intereft shall than be also equally divided again amon g and between my Childrens Namely, Eve. and Elizabeth. an d Sophia and Catharine. and Margaret, and John and Tobias H eltzel to one of them as much as to the other, but Concerni ng the Share of my Daughter Catharine of all as before ment ioned my Will is that the principal sum thereof Shall be pa id out on Interest, and she shall yearly have the Interes t thereof till to the time that she do Repent and learn t o keep House that my Exece
