Richwin was born in 0886 in Luxembourg.¹   Richwin's father was Rainier De Saunis.  His paternal grandfather was Arnoul De Chaumontois.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 37 in 0923.¹ 

‌Richwin were married in a religious ceremony in 0887.  He had a biological son named Otto.
