Edith - Ealdgyth was born in 1042 in Saxe, Mercia, England.  Edith - Ealdgyth's father was Ælfgar UNKNOWN and her mother was Elfgifu UNKNOWN.  Her paternal grandparents were Leofric UNKNOWN and Godiva (Godgifu) Lady Of Coventry; her maternal grandparents were Ethelred UNKNOWN and Ælthelgife Gunnarsdotter. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Eadwine, Earl Of, Morcar, Earl Of, Edwin, Burgheard Of, Morcar, Leverunia and Lucy. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William, Lord, Lucia and Edith.  She died at the age of 44 in 1086.1 


Edith - Ealdgyth's first family with Harold Godwinson

‌Edith - Ealdgyth and Harold were married in a religious ceremony in 1045.  They had five sons and two daughters, named Godwin, Edmund, Magnus, Ulf, Harold, Gytha and Gunhilda.


Edith - Ealdgyth's second family with Gruffydd Ap Llewelyn

‌Edith - Ealdgyth and Gruffydd were married in a religious ceremony in 1057 in England.2   They had five sons and two daughters, named Maredudd, Ithell, Owen, Maredudd Ap Gruffydd, King Of, Ithell Ap, Nest and Nesta Verch.
