Taidhg was born in 0975.¹ Taidhg's father was Gilla Pátraic Macdonnchada. His paternal grandfather was Donnchad Maccellaig UNKNOWN. He had a sister named Aife Ingen Gilla. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 52 in 1027.¹
