Alice Alix was born in 1014 in Roucy, Aisne, France.1 Alice Alix's father was Ebles De Rheims-Roucy and her mother was Beatrix De Hainault. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert De Roucy and Unknown Macon; her maternal grandparents were Régnier De Hainault and Mathilde De Verdun. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Nicholas, Avise (Hedwig) and Hadwide. She died at the age of 48 in 1062 in France.2 General Notes
