Agnes was born in 1020 in Aquitaine, France.  Agnes' father was William De Poitou and her mother was Agnes De Macon.  Her paternal grandparents were William D'aquitaine and Emma Capet; her maternal grandparents were Otto William UNKNOWN and Ermentrude De Roucy. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Guy, known as William and Beatrix.  She was the second oldest of the four children. She had two half-brothers named William and Eudes.  She died at the age of 57 on December 14th, 1077 in Rome, Italy.

‌Agnes and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on November 21st, 1043 in Ingelheim, Rheinhessen, Hesse-Darmstadt.  They had two sons and four daughters, named Henry, Konrad Of, Sophia, Mathilda, Judith and Adelaide.
