Robert was born in 0992.  Robert's father was Roger Of Montgomery UNKNOWN and his mother was Josceline UNKNOWN.  His paternal grandfather was Rogerus Magnus. He had three brothers named Hugh, William and Gilbert.  He was the second oldest of the four children.
