Reginald was born in 1171 in Bramber, Sussexshire, England.1   Reginald's father was William De Braose and his mother was Maud - Matilda De Haia De St. Valerie.  His paternal grandparents were William De Braose and Bertha De Hereford; his maternal grandparents were Bernard De St. Valerie and Mathilda UNKNOWN. He had twelve brothers and six sisters, named William 'The Younger', Giles, Hugh, John, Fulk, Phillip, Roger, Robert, Thomas, Walter, Henry, Bernhard, Matilda Susan, Joan Avice, Laurette, Margaret, Eleanor and Flandrina.  He was the oldest of the nineteen children.  He died at the age of 57 on June 9th, 1228 in Brecon, Breconshire, Wales.  He was buried in Priory Church, Brecon, Breconshire, Wales.1 1

‌Reginald and Gracia were married in a religious ceremony in 1200 in Bramber, Sussexshire, England.1   They had two sons and two daughters, named William, John, Loretta and Mary.
