Margaret was born about 1473 in Efford, Devon. Margaret's father was Richard WHITLEY and her mother was Margaret TREGARTHEN. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas TREGARTHEN and Honor DE HENDOWER. She was an only child.
‌Margaret and Roger were married in a religious ceremony in 1502 in Efford, Devon. They had three sons and four daughters, named Richard, Digory, John, Philippa, Anne, Agnes and Jane.
