William MARTIN 
William was born in 1583. William's father was Unknown MARTIN. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, Daughter and Daughter. He died at the age of 70 on June 14th, 1653 in Evesham. He was buried in Evesham.General Notes

2 and 1641, and a Justice of the Peace for eight years. H
e married on the 22nd June 1610, at the Church of All Saint
s, Evesham, Anne (who was born in 1588) daughter of Phili
p GARDNER of Evesham, gent1eman, who was Mayor of the Borou
gh in 1607 and 1618. He died on the 14th June 1653; she die
d on the 12th September 1656. His will, dated 1653 (264 Bre
nt). He had a son Thomas to whom he bequeaths considerabl
e property in Evesham. He makes bequests to one daughter He
ster, widow, and her children and, probably, other daughter
s in addition to Elizabeth Harward. He makes bequests to th
e poor of St. Lawrence and of All Saints, Evesham and als
o to the poor of Bengeworth, Pershore, Alcester, Cambden an
d Blockly. William also asks that his wife "surrender her w
iddows estate in my living in Littleton to John Martin". Th
is John was, very probably, his nephew, the son of brothe
r John whose will was dated 1628. William also mentions hi
s father in law, Phillip Gardner, deceased
‌William and Anne were married in a religious ceremony on June 22nd, 1610 in All Saints, Evesham. They had seven sons and six daughters, named John, John, Peter, Philip, Philip, Thomas, James, Mary, Sarah, Abigail, Anna, Elizabeth and Hester.
