George MARTIN 
George was born on August 22nd, 1791 in Bourton-On-The-Hill and his baptism took place there on October 30th, 1791. George's father was Joseph MARTIN and his mother was Isabella Margaret STURGES. His paternal grandparents were Joseph MARTIN and Eleanor TORRIANO; his maternal grandparents were John STURGES and Judith BOURNE. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Joseph John, Henry, William, Francis, Richard, John Sturges, Isabella Mary, Eleanor, Anne and Frances. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 69 on August 27th, 1860 in Harberton. He was buried in Harberton.General Notes
