Robert De Courtenay (Sir was born in 1170 in Okehampton, Devonshire, England. Robert De Courtenay (Sir's father was Renaud 'Reginald' Seigneur DE COURTENAY and his mother was Hawise DE CURCY. His paternal grandparents were Renaud 'Reginald' Seigneur DE COURTENAY and Hawise DE DONJON; his maternal grandparents were William DE CURCY and Maud D'avranches (Dame DU SAP). He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Reginald and Egelina. He died at the age of 72 on July 26th, 1242 in Iwerne, Dorset, England. He was buried on July 28th, 1242 in Ford Abbey, Devonshire, England.-
