John was born on June 25th, 1340. John's father was John DE MOWBRAY and his mother was Joan PLANTAGENET. His paternal grandparents were John DE MOWBRAY and Aline DE BROASE; his maternal grandparents were Henry PLANTAGENET and Maud CHAWORTH. He was an only child.
