Matilda was born about 1031 in Of, , Flandres, France and her baptism took place in Holy Trinity Abbey, Caen.  Matilda's father was Baudouin UNKNOWN and her mother was Adãele UNKNOWN.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert CAPET and Constance OF TOULOUSE.  She was an only child.  She died on November 2nd, 1083 in , Caen, Calvados, France.  She was buried in Eglise DE La Sainte Trinitbe, Caen, Normandie.

‌Matilda and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1050 in Castle Of, Angi, Normandy, France.  They had four sons and eight daughters, named Robert, Richard, "Rufus", Henry I, Cecilia, Alice Or Adbelahide, Mathilda, Constance, Adaele (Alice), Adela, Gundred and Agatha.
