Allen was born on November 16th, 1684. Allen's father was Benjamin BATHURST and his mother was Frances APSLEY. His paternal grandparents were George BATHURST and Elizabeth VILLERS; his maternal grandparents were Allen APSLEY and Frances PETRE. He had a brother named Benjamin. Allen and Catherine were married in a religious ceremony on July 6th, 1704. They had two sons and three daughters, named Benjamin, Henry, Anne, Catherine and Jane.
