Samuel Samson was born on September 29th, 1837 in Kirtland, Lake, Ohio. Samuel Samson's father was David CLUFF and his mother was Elizabeth Or Betsey HALL. His paternal grandparents were Wiliam CLOUGH and Susanna (Sarah) RUNNELS; his maternal grandparents were Moses HALL and Lucy FOWLER. He had ten brothers and a sister, named David, Moses, Benjamin, William Wallace, Joseph, Harvey HARRIS, Hyrum, Henry, Alfred, Orson and Lavina.
