Osbern Fitz Richard le Scrope 
Osbern Fitz Richard was born about 1025 in Richard's Castle in Herefordshire, near Shropshire, England. Osbern Fitz Richard's father was Richard le Scrope and his mother was fitz Winmarch. His paternal grandfather was Scrob; his maternal grandfather was Robert "The Deacon" fitz Winmarch. He had a brother named William fitz. He was the older of the two children. He appears to have been old enough to have taken part in the early wars of his father during the reign of Edward the Confessor (1042-66). Osbern was sheriff of Hereford, 1060. He assisted the castellan of Hereford in subduing the rebel Edric in 1067 while William the Conqueror and the greater part of his nobles were in Normandy.
They had four sons and a daughter, named Simon Fitz Osbern, William Fitz Osbern, Turstin Fitz Osbern, Hugh fitz and Nesta ferch.
