Robert de Grey

Robert was born about 1206 in Thurrock, Essex, England. Robert's father was Sir Henry De Grey and his mother was Isolda (Iseude) Bardolf. His paternal grandparents were John de Grey and Elena De Clare; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Bardolf and Isobel Aquillion. He had six brothers and a sister, named Richard, Hugh, William, Sir John, Archbishop of York, Henry and Joan. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
