Henry de Gaunt

Henry was born about 1072. Henry's father was Gilbert de Gand and his mother was Alice de Montfort. His paternal grandparents were Ralph de Gand and Gisele de Luxembourg; his maternal grandparents were Hugh II de Montfort and Alice de Beauffou. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Ralph, Walter, Geoffrey, Robert, Gilbert, Hugh IV, Felia, Emma, Matilda, Alice and Agnes. He was the third oldest of the twelve children.
