Patrick was born about 1093 in Kempsford, Gloucestershire, England. Patrick's father was Patrick De Chaworth and his mother was Matilda De Hesding. His paternal grandfather was Hugh de Chaworth; his maternal grandparents were Ernulf De Hesding and Emmaline De Normandy. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Hugh, Pagen, Morgan, Cecily and Sybil. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died before 1155.-
