Herwaldus 'Le Wake' 
Herwaldus 'Le was born in 1004 in Mercia, England. Herwaldus 'Le's father was III Leofric and his mother was Lady Godiva of Coventry. His paternal grandparents were Earl of Mercia and Staffordshire Leofwine and Alwara of Mercia; his maternal grandfather was Thorold of Buckingham. He had two brothers and a sister, named III, Sheriff of Lincoln and Erminhild of. He was the second oldest of the four children.General Notes
Harold de Wake or Herwaldus or Hewaldus, as it is observed by Dr. Patrick, was the first who gave rise to the name of Wake, and was surnamed de Wake or le Wake. He was one of the bravest heroes of his age and country, whose actions are celebrated by Ingulphus; and was the last who submitted to William, the Conqueror.
