Isabel was born about 1375 in Lennox, Stirlingshire, Scotland. Isabel's father was Duncan Stuart and her mother was Helen Campbell. Her paternal grandmother was 7th Countess of Lennox Margaret; her maternal grandparents were Sir Gillespie Archibald More Campbell and Isabella Mary Lamont. She had a sister named Elizabeth. She was the younger of the two children. She died in 1457.-
