Her paternal grandparents were Richard Pincerna and Beatrix de Villiers; her maternal grandparents were Thomas de Workington and Grace Ireby. She had a brother and a sister, named Almaric and Alice. She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Sir Michael.-
