Sir William Molyneux 
Sir William was born about 1305 in Sefton, Lancastershire, England. Sir William's father was Richard Molyneux and his mother was Agatha Kyerton. His paternal grandparents were Sir William de Molyneux and Isabell Scarsbrick; his maternal grandparents were Sir Roger Kyerton and Alice Lucia de Thwenge. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Roger, Richard, John, Robert, Peter, Agatha and Ellen. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died in 1372 in Canterbury, England.General Notes
Sir William succeeded his father in 1363. He distinguished himself at the battle of Navaret, in Spain, under Edward, the Black Prince, where he was made banneret in 1367, and continued to serve under that general in all his Spanish and French wars. On his return, he died at Canterbury, where he was entombed, on which is the inscription:
"Miles honorificus Molyneux subject intus;
Tertius Edwardus dilexit hunc ut amicus.
Fortia qui gessit, Gallos, Navarrosq, repressit,
Hinc cum recissit, morte ferente decessit,
Anno milleno trecento septugeno,
Atque bus junge duo, sic perit omnis homo."
