Berendina Berdene was born on June 30th, 1907 in Holland, Iowa. Berendina Berdene's father was Barney Kruger and her mother was Ora Meintz. Her paternal grandparents were Klaas C. Kruger and Berenedena Groenhagen. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John Paul, Klaas Christian, Bernard H., Infant, Claradean, Onieta and Neona. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 81 in 1988.-
