Thomas Gascoigne

Thomas was born in 1509 in Lasingcroft, Yorkshire, England. Thomas' father was John Gascoigne and his mother was Anne Vavasour. His paternal grandparents were William XIV Gascoigne and Margaret Kighley; his maternal grandparents were John Vavasour and Cicely Langdale. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named John, Robert, William, George, Richard, Frances, Katherine, Elizabeth, Alice, Grace and Agnes. He was the oldest of the twelve children.
