William FitzNigel 
William was born about 1085 in Halton, Cheshire, England. William's father was William FitzNigell and his mother was Miss de Widness. His paternal grandfather was Nigell de Lacy; his maternal grandfather was Baron of Widness Yarfrid. He had a sister named Matilda Agnes. He was the younger of the two children.
