John De Stourton

John was born in 1364 in Preston, Wiltshire, England. John's father was Sir John De Stourton and his mother was Joan Basset. His paternal grandparents were Sir William De Stourton and Joan De Vernon; his maternal grandparents were Ralph Basset and Joan De La Pole. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Roger, Sir William, Huskin, Richard, Robert, Edmund, Mary Margaret, Anastasia and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the ten children.
