His paternal grandfather was Ralph II de Somery; his maternal grandparents were Sir Robert de Chacomb and Juliana. He had a sister named Alianor. He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Sir Nicholas, Joan, Margaret and Joan. He died at the age of 36 on October 11th, 1291.-
