Mary Courtney 
Mary was born about 1683 in Westmoreland, Virginia. Mary's father was James Courtney and her mother was Mary Jenkins. Her paternal grandfather was James Courtney; her maternal grandparents were Nicholas Jenkins and Ann. She had three brothers and three sisters, named James, William, John, Frances, Hannah and Martha. She was the third youngest of the seven children.
They had two sons and five daughters, named John, William, Mary Courtney, Rebecca, Mary Courtney, Rebecca and Courtney.

John was born in 1724 in Beaufort County, North Carolina. He died at the age of 42 in 1766 in Tyrell County, North Carolina.
