Roger was born about 1048 in Pays de Caux, Normandy, France. Roger's father was Hugo "Le Corbeau" Le Corbet. He had three brothers named Robert, Hugh and Renaud. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died in 1133 in Caus Castle, Shropshire, England.
