Mary was born on September 19th, 1647 in Amesbury, Massachusetts.  Mary's father was Anthony Colby and her mother was Susanna. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Samuel, Isaac, Thomas, Rebecca and Sarah.

‌Mary and William were married in a religious ceremony on September 23rd, 1668 in Amesbury, Essex, MA.  They had four sons and two daughters, named William, Philip, Jacob, Charles, Elizabeth and Lydia.
