Gaius Julius' father was Gaius Julius I Caesar and his mother was Marcia of Rome. His paternal grandparents were Lucius Julius II Caesar and Popillia of Rome; his maternal grandfather was Quinitus Marcias Rex. He had a brother and a sister, named Sextus Julius and Julia. He died in 84 BC at Pisa, Italy.
