Bishop of Utrecht was born about 1145. Bishop of Utrecht's father was VI Dirk and his mother was Countess of Rheineck Sofie. His paternal grandparents were Floris II "De Vette" and Duchess of Oberlothringen Petronille; his maternal grandparents were Count of Salm Otto and Countess of Northeim Gertrud. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
