Thomas Basset 
Thomas was born about 1156 in Headington, Oxford, England. Thomas' father was Thomas Basset and his mother was Alice Adeliza de Dunstanville. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert Basset and Edith d'Oilly; his maternal grandparents were Alan de Dunstanville and Langetot. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Alan, Gilbert, Isabel and Alice Mabel. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died in 1220.-
