Mayor of Austrasia was born in 0602 in Austrasia. Mayor of Austrasia's father was Bishop of Metz St. Arnulph and his mother was Clothilde Dode. His paternal grandparents were Bishop of Metz Arnoaldus and Oda of Savoy. He had two brothers named Bishop of Metz and Count of Verdon. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 83 in 0685 in Andenne Monastery, Belgium.General Notes
Ansegisel was the son of the powerful Austrasian nobleman, Bishop Arnulfof Metz, and was married to Saint Begga, daughter of the more powerful Austrasian nobleman Mayor Pepin I.
