Amanda was born on October 25th, 1841. Amanda's father was *John W. , Capt. Yeary and her mother was *Mary Elizabeth Chenault. Her paternal grandparents were *David Yeary and *Peggy; her maternal grandparents were *Isaac Chenault\Chineau\Shinault and *Margaret. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Walter R., *David, James, William, John Marion, Malvina, Emiline, Cassandra Ophelia, Elizabeth and Cordelia Mary. She was the second youngest of the eleven children.-
