Joseph Henry was born in 1855 in Washington County,Ohio. Joseph Henry's father was Adam Walters and his mother was Annara Cunningham. His paternal grandparents were William Walters and Elizabeth Schriver; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Cunningham and Mary Walker. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Mayfield Erasmas, Emery, Cleave (Cleophus), Margaret Jane, Emily, Lenora Pricilla, Mary E. and Sarah Ellen. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died in Perry County,Indiana.-
