Jean Letitia was born on February 6th, 1910 in Cootamundra,New South Wales,Australia. Jean Letitia's father was Jesse Thomas WALKOM and her mother was Matilda Elizabeth Jane BARRETT. Her paternal grandparents were William John WALKOM and Rosena DAWSON; her maternal grandparents were Joseph BARRETT and Sarah Jane HAMMOND. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John Wilbert, Ezra Richard, Leslie Thomas, Emily May and Lorna Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the seven children.
