Geoffrey was born about 1080 in of Bashall,Yorkshire,England. Geoffrey's father was Richard Talebot and his mother was unknown de Gournay. His paternal grandparents were LeSire William Talbot and ---------de Gournay; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de Gournay and Basilia Flaitel. He had a brother named Hugh. He was the older of the two children. He died after 1139.
‌Geoffrey and Agnes--------- were married in a religious ceremony about 1107. They had two sons named Geoffrey and William.
