Born 1636/37, Bocking, England. Arrived in America as a mere infant. Married April 19, 1659 , Sarah Wallis. Simon d. at Ipswich October 27,1699. age 63, and without issue. He was call ed Ensign in 1685; Lieutenant in 1696, and Captain before he died.

Simon is mentioned several places in Ipswich, Ma history. He was a freeman in Ipswich i n 1665. He was a proprietor and probate man. There are several Ipswich deeds with his nam e on them as overseer.
"Simon Stace was selectman 1675-80; appointed ensign 1684, Lieu tenant 1696, Captain 21699. In 1679 he was tythingman, and in 1695 was one of th e commitee to consider the proper and suitable dimensions of a new meetinghouse . He was representative to the general court 1685-6 and 1689-90. Simon Stace was a man on whom the townsmen could depend. The will of Simon Stace is dat ed 20 Oct 1699 and his estate was appraised at little more than seven hundred twenty-two poun ds. It does not apear that he left any children, and after making provision for his wife th e remaining part of his property was left to Thomas Stace, John Stacy, Elizabeth Woodhull, Ma ry Conner, Susannah Martin, Samuel Mears, Elizabeth Adams, Simon French, Ann Mudgett and Joh n Adams the brother of Simon Adams; and after the deceasd of his widow thses legetees receive d the remaining part of his estate.
