June 24, 1892 THE ANDERSON DEMOCRAT - "Elsberry Scott, Prominent Man Dead. Elsberry Scott, a prominent farmer residing in the southern part of the county died last night of Pulmonary consumption. He was about sixthy-five years of age and quite well-known throughtout the county. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon, interrment being in the Lutheran Cemetery at Ovid."
July 15, 1892 THE ANDERSON DEMOCRAAT - "Notice of appointment of Administrator. Notice is hereby given that the undersigned has been appointed by the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Madison County, Indiana administrator of the estate of Elsberry Scott, deceased, late of the said county.
