James STEPHENS

James was born in 1780 in Salisbury,Rowan,Nc. James' father was Richard STEPHENS and his mother was Martha ROBERTS. His paternal grandparents were John STEPHENS and Mrs. John STEPHENS; his maternal grandparents were William ROBERTS and Mrs Eleanor ROBERTS. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named William, Alexander, John, Richard, Honor, (A Son), STEPHENS, Martha, Elizabeth, Jane and Honor. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 60 on August 21st, 1840 in ,,Indiana.
