Roger was born about 1520 in Monyash,Ashford,Derbyshire,England.  Roger's father was John SHELDON and his mother was Mrs. John SHELDON. He had four brothers named Richard, Henry, Thomas and George.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died in March 1590.
