John SHELDON ENSIGN 
John was born on December 8th, 1658 in South Kingston,Washington,Rhode Island. John's father was Isaac SHELDON and his mother was Mary WOODFORD. His paternal grandparents were Ralph SHELDON and Barbara STONE; his maternal grandparents were Thomas WOODFORD and Mary BLOTT. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Isaac, Thomas, Joseph, Ebenezer, Samuel, (Ensign) Ebenezer, Jonathan, Mary Woodford, Thankful (Twin), Ruth, Mindwell, Hannah and Mercy. He was the third oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 66 on June 7th, 1725 in South Kingston,Washington,Rhode Island. He was buried in Old Burying Ground,Deerfield,Franklin,Massachusetts.General Notes
