His paternal grandparents were Edward Of SALISBURY and Maud FITZHUBERT; his maternal grandparents were Patrick CHAWORTH and Matilda HESDIN. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William De, Walter De, Hawise De and Sibilla (Sibyl) De. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died about April 7th, 1168 in Battle In Piotou.
