George B. was born on May 20th, 1770 in Augusta County,Virginia. George B.'s father was Edward Rutledge and his mother was Sarah Armstrong. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Rutledge and Jean Armstrong; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Armstrong and Ann? UNKNOWN. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James Enos, John, Mary, Lucy, Rebeckah, Sarah and Rosanna. He died at the age of 53 on March 30th, 1824 in Augusta County,Virginia.-
