John J. Powers 
John J. was born on February 19th, 1845. John J.'s father was William Powers and his mother was Matilda Scales. His paternal grandparents were John D. Powers and Sarah Blackford. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph W., Samuel, Mary and Sarah. He died at the age of 70 on March 25th, 1915. He was buried in Ebenezer Cemetery.-
